Implementation at the Petawawa Research Forest

Implementation at the Petawawa Research Forest

Adaptive silviculture for climate change in the Great Lakes- St. Lawrence Forest Region of Canada: Background and design of a long-term experiment

In case you missed it, Thiffault et al. published research on implementation at the Petawawa Research Forest ASCC site in 2024. This manuscript serves as a foundational piece for Network implementation, highlighting details on treatments across the site, including planted species, number and species of seedlings planted, and future monitoring.

You can access the full manuscript from the Forestry Chronicle here.

The feature photo shared here is a figure from the publication, “Example of one replicate block from the ASCC experiment at the Petawawa Research Forest in Chalk River, Ontario, Canada. Cir-cles represent 16.1 m-radius circular plots stratified based on mean basal area and topographic wetness index. BAU: business-as-usual.”
